Menstrie Parish Church of Scotland
The thirty elders who make up the Kirk Session have responsibility for the pastoral oversight of our membership of just under 400 within the parish and surrounding areas, while our Congregational Board of sixteen members deals with the property and financial matters of the church.
Within our “Forward Plan” - taking Menstrie Parish Church into the future - we have four Working Groups covering Worship & Education, Pastoral Care, Mission & Outreach and Social Events, as well as Committees responsible for Finance, Property, Stewardship, Safeguarding and Eco-Congregation.
The church has wheelchair access and is fitted with an induction loop system for the benefit of hearing-aid users.
Tapes of Sunday Morning Worship are available on request,
as are large-print editions of our monthly Church News.
As a congregation we regularly support Christian Aid, Earl Haig Poppy Appeal and Strathcarron Hospice.
We are currently exploring a Youth Work project with the parish churches in our neighbouring villages of Alva and Tillicoultry, and also have a good working relationship with the local Roman Catholic and United Free churches close by.
The village of Menstrie, with a population of around 2500, is situated at the foot of the Ochil Hills about 5 miles east of Stirling on the A91
Cupar/St Andrews road.
